FAQs

What is an Escape Room?

An escape room is an interactive and immersive puzzle solving experience where participants are 'locked' in a room and try to complete the game within the allotted time. Players must work together using their collective knowledge to discover clues, solve puzzles, and escape and/or complete the mission before they run out of time.
When you enter your room the door you enter through will be closed behind but not locked and the game timer will start. Some of our games use handcuffs to add to your experience but for safety reasons these are fixed to the wall using an unlocked carabiner clip and can be released manually at any time without solving any puzzles. But please only manually release the carabiner in emergency situations as the handcuffs may form part of the puzzles and add to your in game experience. All entry doors to the games will also be emergency exit doors and in the unlikely event of an emergency then you should use this door to exit your game room. All emergency exit doors have battery back up and manual override switches in the unlikely event of power failure. And of course, you are free to leave the game at any time.
All of our games are 60 minutes but you should arrive at least 15 minutes before your game to watch our safety and information video and complete our sign in forms and COVID questionnaires. Each game has a short intro video which will give you a back story and maybe even some clues to help you complete the game so please watch carefully. After your game your games master will invite you back to the waiting area for your team photo which will then be posted on to our social media pages for you to tag yourself in. BUT PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals as this may have a knock on effect to any bookings that follow yours.
Of course! Our games have staggered start times so please ensure that you have left yourself at least 15 minutes after the end of your first game and before your next. If there appears to be no available time slot for the second game please drop us a message and we will try to arrange something for you. Remember, although our games are for a maximum of six people we have four rooms so large groups could play different rooms at the same time and see who completes the room first. You could even swap after and play the room which the other team played to see if you can beat their time! Any questions please message us and we will be glad to help
All of our bookings are private and for your team only. But you will not be completely alone as your games master will be watching you and helping you along the way if you get stuck. At present we have no live actors in any of our games but this could change in the future!
In this current climate we would suggest that you bring a face mask to your games as the games rooms are not large enough to accommodate social distancing from each other. We do have a selection of disposable gloves and face masks for you to use on request. We have provided hand sanitiser stations around our venue for you to use so there is no need for you to bring your own. Some of the padlocks are quite small so if you usually wear glasses please remember to bring them with you! We have a vending machine on site containing a selection of cold drinks priced at £1.00 per drink. We do not keep cash at the premises so please bring correct change. Unfortunately, you cannot take your drink in to your game with you because any spillages could damage the props and electronics used to control your game. We ask that you please limit your personal possessions. We do have lockers available for you to use free of charge. You are welcome to store your valuables and you may take the key into the game with you. Finally, please refrain from leaving valuables in your vehicle. Any valuables left in vehicles or in lockers are done so at your own risk.
Our games are recommended and designed for over 18s however if you wish to play as a family we can accommodate under 18s if they are supervised by an adult. Some of our games may not be suitable for children so please call us to enquire if you are unsure. We reserve the right to turn away unsupervised under 18s. They will not be offered a refund.
Some of our rooms may have some physical puzzles but none of these will require you to climb or overly exert yourself. All our rooms require you to be standing for all or most of the game so we would recommend some comfortable footwear. Many of our rooms include small spaces which you may be required to crawl into or crawl through. These spaces may have limited headroom and some of our rooms may have uneven floors so please take extra care in these areas.
We will open on demand and all online bookings should be made at least 48 hours before to allow for us to source a games master for you. We may be able to accommodate same day bookings but this is not guaranteed so please call to enquire.
Our escape experience is a great activity for friends, family and work colleagues including corporate team building or just an excuse to get out! Unfortunately our venue is not wheelchair accessible due to limited accessibility to our facilities and our emergency exit requires descending steps. This is however something we wish to revisit in the future.
Some of our games have elements of surprise and may make you jump. If this may cause you difficulties please speak to your games master before the game.
Due to the layout and position of the rooms unfortunately our venue is not wheelchair accessible. The entrance to the building has a step and the facilities and emergency exit may be inaccessible. If you have any questions about suitability of our games for you please contact us and we will be happy to help if we can

If we have missed anything or you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

We will be happy to help.
